Typically I can:-
1. support areas of weakness in particular reading, writing, oral English and simple mathematics.
2. assist in the preparation for examinations e.g. Sats, school entry examinations etc.
3. be an alternative to placing your child in an English or Spanish school.
4. assist children who have special educational needs.
This is achieved by using a combination of available resources including the Montessori materials, worksheets to reinforce the English National Curriculum and/or homework which is set by the educational establishment that the child attends.
How frequently and for how long does my child need tutoring?
This will depend on the age, educational level and the nature of the problem and what the ultimate aim of my involvement is with your child.
At the time of my first visit at your home, I undertake an initial assessment of the child to establish his/her strengths and weaknesses to enable the latter to be identified and to determine how best these can be rectified. However as a very broad guide, 1-2 hours and a minimum of 2 sessions per week is normally sufficient to overcome any particular problems.
My Prices
The initial assessment normally takes approximately 1 to 2 hours and is charged at a flat rate of 50 Euros. This includes the assessment and recording documents and the preparation of a learning programme for the child.
Thereafter I charge 40 Euros per hour or 20 Euros part thereof within a 40 kilometre radius of Marbella.
References
I have many references from previously satisfied parents if required.
How can I help your child?
As a Montessori Tutor, I have developed my own particular way of obtaining the best possible results in a home environment by using the principles and philosophies of the Montessori Method of education to support and strengthen the requirements of the English National Curriculum provided by the school.
The most important aspect with teaching children aged 2-6 years is to obtain their respect and confidence very early on in the learning process from which will naturally flow their desire to work. I therefore always place great emphasis on getting to know the child and their particular interests during our initial sessions before progressing.
